Mawun Beach, Lombok
Mawun Beach has a beauty and atmosphere that is relatively different from various other Lombok beaches. If other beaches are located on the shoreline with a wide expanse and hot weather with loose sun and big waves, this tourist attraction has a different atmosphere.
Mawun Beach has a coastline flanked by two hills on the east and west sides. If you look at it, these two high hills are like water entrance gates from the ocean to Mawun Beach.
The presence of this hill creates a different view from other beaches which show seas and oceans under blue skies. On the other hand, the combination of ocean views combined with green hills adds to the beautiful atmosphere of the beach which usually tends to be hot and dazzling.
Apart from that, the waves at Mawun Beach tend to be calmer because the waves are muffled by the presence of hills on both sides of the beach. With waves that tend to be calm, water rides on the beach tend to be safe and enjoyed more comfortably.
Location and Route of Mawun Beach
Mawun Beach is in Tumpak Village, District. Pujuk, Kab. Central Lombok Island. This beach is located between Kuta Beach and Selong Belanak Beach which are also very charming in Lombok. Even though it is located on two well-known beaches, access to this beach is still relatively further away and difficult because it is not crowded with visitors.
From Mataram City, the journey to this location can take approximately 2 hours by motor vehicle. However, the location is closer to Lombok International Airport. So tourists can take advantage of their time here before continuing their journey by plane.
A little note, if you want to go to this location using a motorized vehicle, make sure your vehicle's fuel tank is full. Because if you are in a location close to the beach, there are no gas stations yet.
Activities at Mawun Beach Lombok
There are many activities and water games that can be done at this Lombok tourist attraction. As with usual beach activities, the beach entry fee is IDR. 10,000, of course swimming at the beach is one thing that must be done. However, it is not recommended to swim in the middle of the beach, because even though the waves are relatively smaller, the middle part is relatively deeper.
1. Surfing
